You Will Definitely Pursue The Study Of Law [After Reading This]

They say ‘where ignorance is bliss, it is foolish to be wise’. But no one tells the opposite – ‘where ignorance is a curse, it is foolish to be ignorant’. You cannot be excused from violating a law ignorantly because ignorance of the law is no excuse for not following the law. That goes the saying. So that makes it imperative for every Indian to understand and learn the law of the land. It is a duty that every citizen should abide by. Especially in the present times when lawlessness, crime, and violence have become the ingredient of our daily life. This is the reason why Law colleges in India both government and private are flourishing.

Another old saying says : you need at least three friends and ensure one of them is a Lawyer, the other being a doctor and an accounts expert. Because any ordinary and educated individual will need the service of these three throughout their life at some point in time or the other.

Becoming a doctor or a chartered accountant may not be everyone’s cup of tea or coffee. But studying law is something not difficult at all. A rare study with the much lesser expense of money, time and energy but with profuse returns that are satisfying intellectually, ethically and professionally as well. Very few academic pursuits will give this combination that the study of law brings.

In fact, this is the only study that not only helps you to become a successful lawyer in case you wish to become one, but also a shrewd politician, successful police officer, diplomat, journalist or even a manager in the corporate world or business. Rather it gives you an additional advantage in any profession you pursue or even handling domestic matters or family life efficiently. The study fortifies you with the intellectual strength combined with a practical approach to facing the world and its any type of complexities.

Again, as a profession, it is equally challenging and interesting with intellectual, moral and ethical approaches to your work. You will, most of the time confront many ethical and moral problems and be challenged to find realistic, approachable solutions to them. There could be questions confronting you like should gay marriages be allowed in India, should the country revamp the entire education system based on our cultural roots and values instead of copying the foreign countries, or should we strive to make a new constitution for India instead of following the existing one which is outdated and most of the time not relevant to present days situations and has been amended hundred and five times in 74 years.

Besides, as a lawyer, whether in service or independent practice, the monetary returns are profuse as well. It is an evergreen profession, with our country needing more of them as world political, economic, business scenarios are getting complicated day by with huge upheaval of technological advancement and its good and bad repercussions.

Quite naturally then, it is no wonder why so many businesses colleges have started offering law as a combined graduation degree and the BA LLB colleges are seeing a surge in the aspirant students.
